A Message To All Members of the UPC Phils., Inc.

Dear Brethren in Christ,

As we all know, the greater Metro Manila Area and some parts of the NSLD and CLD were devastated recently by massive flooding because of typhoon Ondoy. We are now on the 3rd day after this tragedy yet there are still casualties being found and problems are arising from the said sad event.

Based on studies on the aftermath of Storm Katrina on the US, it is only correct to presume that the rise of casualties and other problems related to Ondoy will be inevitable. Hunger, sickness, and death is a common aftermath when a catastrophe like this happens. This is because of extreme shortages of food, water, medical supplies, and medical services on the affected areas.  It was confirmed by Pastor Oscar Picar that 4 Oneness Apostolic brethren from Metro Manila are dead because of Ondoy. Another 560 apostolic families from 34 churches are badly affected right now and are suffering from hunger, thirst, and sickness. More sadly, the statistics are still rising…

The United Pentecostal Church Philippines is organizing a relief operations for the said affected families. We are encouraging all our brethren to please help in whatever way you can… These are the kind of times when apostolic love and compassion should shine. We are one body and we should feel the pain that our  brethren are suffering right now…

Here’s a list of the goods that are needed:…

Food: Rice, noodles, canned goods, sugar, salt, cofffee, chocolate drinks

Water: potable water stored in containers, bottled water, water purification tablets

Medicines: Paracetamol, antibiotics, analgesic, rehydration salts, multivitamins, vitamin C, medications to treat diarrhea and other diseases.

Non-food: Bath soaps, face towels, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, plastic mats, blankets, jerry cans, water containers, Laundry soap, mosquito nets, clothing, flashlights, shoes, slippers

Prayer for the 85th UPCI General Conference

st Louis

The 85th General Conference of the United Pentecostal Church convenes in St. Louis on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

We have never in all of human history lived in an age to compare with the one in which we now live. That is not news to you. Tension and strife, wars, earthquakes and prophetic events of far-reaching proportions are occurring. It appears time is running out and civilization’s days are numbered.

But we have the PROMISE. “In the last days saith God, I will pour of My Spirit upon all flesh.” For your prayer on Sunday, September 20, let’s ask God to grant repentance worldwide in every people group that they may seek the Lord with humility.

Acts 3:19 “Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Pray that repentance will grip the hearts of men, women and youth around the world from every culture.

Secondly, let’s pray for a revelation of New Testament Apostolic baptism. That various religious groups would see that water baptism was/is always performed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for this revelation to come to pastors and church leaders worldwide.

Thirdly, as we have mentioned, pray for an outpouring of the Holy Ghost upon us at conference. We do not want conference as usual. We are asking God to step into our meetings and stir us up and shake us from complacency. God, give us a visitation of Your Spirit like never before. Let this conference experience a spiritual breakthrough.

Purity Everywhere and Always!

Welcome to Davao City!

The United Pentecostal Church of the Philippines will hold its General Conference this coming February 17-21, 2010 in Davao City. Saints and ministers of the gospel throughout the nation will converge in this city for a time of revival and fellowship.

Rev. T. F. Tenney and Rev. D. K. Bernard are coming to serve as our nightly Speaker and Bible Teacher. I believe the seasoned ministries and leadership of these great men of God will surely effect a potent spiritual impact on everybody in the conference.

I am encouraging every licensed minister of this great fellowship to attend this grand annual gathering for a time of individual and corporate refreshing from the LORD.

In anticipation of the nearness of the coming of the LORD, our Executive Board has adopted for this conference the theme, “Purity Everywhere and Always.” The apostle Paul wrote thus to Timothy: “take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”

As we claim more territories for the Kingdom of God, let us maintain purity in conduct and doctrine. When the love of many shall wax cold and when some shall depart from the faith, let us stand strong as bastions of the apostolic truth in the midst of this untoward and perverse generation.

We believe beautiful and wonderful things are prepared by the LORD for us in Davao City for this conference (Jeremiah 33:3; I Corinthians 2:9; Ephesians 3:20). Amen! Once again we welcome our guests, friends, ministers and saints to the 2010 General Conference of the United Pentecostal Church Phils. Incorporated.

May you always be abounding in the work of the LORD.

Your Fellow Servant in CHRIST,

Alfredo S. Bodegas (Sgd)
