A Message To All Members of the UPC Phils., Inc.
Dear Brethren in Christ,
As we all know, the greater Metro Manila Area and some parts of the NSLD and CLD were devastated recently by massive flooding because of typhoon Ondoy. We are now on the 3rd day after this tragedy yet there are still casualties being found and problems are arising from the said sad event.
Based on studies on the aftermath of Storm Katrina on the US, it is only correct to presume that the rise of casualties and other problems related to Ondoy will be inevitable. Hunger, sickness, and death is a common aftermath when a catastrophe like this happens. This is because of extreme shortages of food, water, medical supplies, and medical services on the affected areas. It was confirmed by Pastor Oscar Picar that 4 Oneness Apostolic brethren from Metro Manila are dead because of Ondoy. Another 560 apostolic families from 34 churches are badly affected right now and are suffering from hunger, thirst, and sickness. More sadly, the statistics are still rising…
The United Pentecostal Church Philippines is organizing a relief operations for the said affected families. We are encouraging all our brethren to please help in whatever way you can… These are the kind of times when apostolic love and compassion should shine. We are one body and we should feel the pain that our brethren are suffering right now…

Just an inquiry; can we know where those brethren who suffered in the Typhoon and died comes from? What church do they belong? thanks.
Hello Pastor Anota…
You can directly ask Pastor Oscar Picar as to that matter…
it is very unfortunate for our Filipino brothers to be hit by typhoon Ondoy. i have seen the massive flooding and the flood victims on TV and it is really horrible.
the UPCI church of Greece would like to help by sending used clothings, bar soap, toothpaste, and other staff. we are in the process of gathering it. Please could you let me know where can we send it, name and address.
thank you!
In times of inevitable calamities like this, it would help if you will send your announcement thru the different pastor’s cellphone number in every local church for the immediate information of every believer incase donations will be given to casualties (brethren). Not all are having access with the internet. Hope this would help.
my friends in Philippines were also victimized by the flooding caused by Typhoon Ondoy. i just hope that you guys could recover soon from this natural disaster. `
