Whom Shall I Send?

‘ ‘ ‘FILIPINOS . . . To the Ends of the Earth

‘ ‘ ‘There are more than 11 million overseas Filipinos worldwide, equivalent to about 11% of the total population of the Philippines. . . .¹

‘ ‘ ‘Each year, more than a million Filipinos leave to work abroad through overseas employment agencies and other programs, including government sponsored programs. . . .²

‘ ‘ ‘The Philippines is the top labor exporter in the world. . . .³

‘ ‘ ‘The Filipinos has massively spread across the globe. There are Filipinos in every country, and chances are, there are Filipinos traveling in every known sea. . . .

‘ ‘ ‘WHY SEND FILIPINOS?

FILIPINOS ARE MULTI-CULTURAL

‘ ‘ ‘They were exposed to different cultures by centuries of colonial rule. They can adapt to a new culture.

FILIPINOS ARE MULTI-LINGUAL

‘ ‘ ‘They speak English and can speak 1 or 2 other more. The Philippines is the world’s third largest English-speaking nation, next to the U.S. and the United Kingdom. They can easily learn a new language.

FILIPINOS HAVE A UNIQUE FEATURE

‘ ‘ ‘They can blend in other colors and cultures without being noticed (especially in Asia). Usually, they are the ones who wear the biggest smile. In a regional survey, the Filipinos were tagged as the happiest people in Asia.

FILIPINOS ARE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE

‘ ‘ ‘Filipinos are those who love to talk about God. They are pious Christians who, at the time atheism draws massive followers, still believe in miracles. Many Filipinos brought their faith abroad and preached the Gospel, even to the extent that some of them were beheaded in Saudi Arabia.

FILIPINOS ARE SERVILE

‘ ‘ ‘What’s interesting about the Filipinos is the way they show humility and still keep the sense of nationalism. They serve as nannies in Hong Kong, caregivers in Canada, gardeners in Europe, laborers in the Middle East and entertainers in Japan.

FILIPINOS ARE NON-THREATENING

‘ ‘ ‘They are peace-loving people and have no history of aggression.

FILIPINOS ARE RESILIENT

‘ ‘ ‘They have been like a bamboo held firm thru calamities, disasters and difficulties. This remains despite the numerous calamities hitting the Philippines each year. The country experiences the most number of typhoons in the world, estimated between 20 and 30 every year. But no typhoon, not even the strongest one, could dump the enthusiasm of the Filipinos.

LORD, MAY YOU FIND US QUALIFIED, . . . SEND US . . . . – Isaiah 6:8

I’m always visiting our very own UPC Philippine site on the web. Thanks be unto God for giving us opportunities to labor even in the field of technology. Our site is getting more and more powerful than ever. Many unbelievers are finding their personal salvation with our dear Lord through our website. Praise the Lord! People feels the Holy Ghost presence even in the front of their computers! Glory to God! Continue doing your great job in bringing the whole Truth even in the desks of the sinners. We represent Oneness Pentecostalism in the Philippine country in general. Be not weary in well doing, for in due season we will reap if we faint not. God bless the United Pentecostal Church in the Philippines!

Greeting’s in the most precious name of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ!

Praise God for the fast growth of those who believe that Jesus Christ is the one and True God.

I arrived last february 2009, here at Madang province of Papua New Guinea. As of now i am having bible study to a small group of National Christians.. I am praying that the belief of one God will surely grow in this country.

Hoping that i could be granted as a UPC filipino missionary in this place. I have no such idea who will be the right person whom i could talk too.

Praying that this message will be read and reach our brethren who is in charge of the World Mission.

    With prayers;

    Pastor Cocoy Erbina,

100% for His glory, Filipino ministers and believers are always ready to heed the call of God to spread the Gospel of Salvation throughout the whole world not because of “position” in the ministry but because of HIS GREAT LOVE for souls….souls and souls….embedded in every TRANSFORMED hearts for His glory alone!

Filipino OFWs are called “the unsung heroes” due to their sacrifices and their great “financial contribution to the economy”…unknown to many, there are also Filipinos that are “unsung heroes of FAITH” willing to SACRIFICE their lives for the sake of the Gospel….specially those who are in the Middle East or other strict countries where Gospel is forbidden. Genuine Filipino ministers or just plain ordinary believers who are filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit wherever they go – they always have the FIRE OF REVIVAL that ignite.

Thank God for this WONDERFUL VISION …..send and recognize
God given empowerment to all Filipino ministers, workers or plain believers who are more than willing to be used – even to the uttermost part of the world to fulfill the great commission! filled, empowered, enabled by the Holy Spirit.

We have to leave all things behind that hinders the plan of God – and focus our eyes upon the vast, plenteous harvest that await us….reach out for JESUS!

To God be all glory and honor!
